Telemedicine LifeWorks

Don’t have a doctor? LifeWorks, the organization responsible for the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) at the University of Ottawa, now offers a range of virtual health services to eligible employees, retirees and their families (spouse and dependents living in the same residence), regardless of their province of residence. Note that the service is called TELUS Health One.

To access this service, you need to create an account using your email @uOttawa.ca. Click on the “Create an Account” button at the following link https://www2.uottawa.ca/campus-life/health-wellness/telemedicine

Once your account is created, use the online service to connect with physicians and registered nurse practitioners in Canada in minutes to get online medical care from your phone, tablet or computer anytime, day and night. You can receive medical advice, prescriptions, requests for laboratory tests and referrals to specialists. There are no fees to consult a general practitioner, though there are other fees if you wish to consult with a specialist. Psychological assistance is also available but fees may apply.
