INVITATION: Book launch - Voyages en nostalgie

 INVITATION The University of Ottawa Press  cordially invites you to the online book launch of 'Voyages en nostalgie: Parcours mémoriel à travers les arts et les médias' by Denis Bachand. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. (EDT) on Zoom. Marc-François Bernier will moderate the book launch and will be joined by the author, Denis Bachand, and his guests of honor: Martine Lagacé, Jacques Couture, Esther Pelletier, Sylvain Lemay and Arlette Henry. 

Register for the event to be held on August 18 (virtual book launch). An in person book launch will take place on Sunday, September 12, at 1 p.m. at the Chelsea Pub (238 Chemin Old Chelsea, Chelsea, QC J9B 1J3). This event will only happen if COVID-19 Public Health measures allows it. Register for the event to be held on September 12 (in person book launch). 

The book 'Voyages en nostalgie' explores a body of cultural and artistic productions chosen for their evocative power and ability to trigger, through reading, music, ads, television fiction, films, and video games, memories of special moments. If our very existence is built on meeting people in the flesh, it is also shaped by countless virtual interactions, mediatized by the artistic creations their authors bring to our attention. It is through these creations that we build our identity. We learn to live and know ourselves through different views of the world. This book is published in French. We look forward to seeing you there!
